#2HotWeeks: Keeping Warm at the Chinook Series

Even in the devilishly cold weather, the ATB Financial Arts Barns is keeping warm for two hot weeks of innovation, inclusion, and imagination. On Saturday, I was able to check out the wonderful events happening at this fabulous February festival!


Tonight featured Remix The Ritual, a collaboration of artists with ancestry from Turtle Island, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa, which was inspired by Baba Israel's Remixing the Ritual: Hip Hop Aesthetics and Practices. After the show was the Fiesta with a BAM!, featuring modelling of entrepreneur Sandra Quirmiro's clothing line, Know Mexico Canada (@know_mexicocanada), performances by local and international artists like NASRA (@nasraad) and LATASHÁ (@callmelatasha), and a lot of dancing! Check out some of the photos I captured down below.
